Electro Brake Z Axis

24VDC electromagnetic brake assembly for the Z-axis ballscrew on MultiCam USA CNC machines. Direct OEM replacement — fits 9.5mm (3/8") diameter brake segment ID.

Supplied as a complete replacement kit including extended mounting screws and spacer rods for correct installation. The Z-axis brake prevents downward drift of the spindle head when the machine is powered down or in E-stop — a critical safety function.

Symptoms of a failing Z-axis brake include the head dropping slowly after power-off, or the machine failing to hold Z-axis position during tool changes. If you are experiencing either of these, brake replacement is the likely fix.
